Several users have trouble while turning on iPod first time and while turning on when the iPod memory is completely down.
In the fist case, we've a tricky step to do. Hold the Menu button, middle button and the play button together at same time. Do not hold pressure on the buttons. Just hold for few seconds it should turn on with initial setup. It might take several steps.
The second case connect the iPod to USB port of your computer (make sure it is on and USB port is working mode). Wait for a few minuts and do not panic. It takes time for the purpose of getting minimum charging to the battery.
